🥾 Imagine Life with Only One Shoe
Now, imagine that one shoe is also your only means of mobility.
For millions of people with disabilities across Africa, this is not imagination—it’s their daily reality.

🎤 Our Commitment
At One Shoe SA:
We walk with the forgotten.
We amplify the voices of those often unheard.
We take real steps toward a more inclusive Africa.
Every Step Matters. Every Shoe Tells a Story.
For millions of people with disabilities across Africa, simply walking, moving, or standing with dignity is a daily struggle. Many go without mobility aids, proper shoes, or even basic acceptance.
At One Shoe SA, we believe no one should walk this journey alone.
Every shoe we give is more than footwear—it’s hope, dignity, and a step toward a better tomorrow.
Every mobility aid is freedom, independence, and a chance to live fully.
We take each step with them.
We walk beside them.
We listen, we see, we care.
Our Mission
At One Shoe SA, we believe mobility is more than just being able to move—it’s freedom, dignity, and the chance to live fully.
Our mission is simple:
👉 To help people with disabilities walk, move, and live with confidence.
We provide:
Shoes that fit.
Mobility aids that restore independence.
Support that brings hope.
We are here to close the gap for those who are often forgotten—ensuring that people with limb differences and mobility challenges get the care, equipment, and respect they deserve.
Through partnerships, community work, and awareness, we are changing lives and challenging the way Africa sees disability.
At One Shoe SA, we’re not just giving shoes.
We’re building a future where no one is left behind, and every step counts.

Kenneth Mulaudzi’s Story
On October 16, 2008, Kenneth Mulaudzi survived a hijacking that left him a T12/L1 complete paraplegic. His journey has been marked by deep challenges—discrimination, community rejection, family loss, and mistreatment.
Driven by his own experiences, Kenneth now works to build a world free from abuse, trauma, and inequality. He leads powerful conversations with youth, women, men, and those battling depression, using workshops, seminars, and compassionate outreach to inspire healing and change.
Allyson Ogston, an amputee for over 23 years, founded One Shoe SA after creating an initiative to supply shoes and socks to amputees awaiting prosthetics. The Scottish Group became the first to donate out-of-season stock to One Shoe SA. Kenneth Mulaudzi, founder of Combating Disabilities, joined Allyson in making donations, and the two organizations merged, adopting the name One Shoe SA.
Siphiwe Rethenia Langa joined the organization as a board member after losing her hearing in both ears in 2010 due to a rapid ear infection caused by a neurological disorder. She has profound to severe hearing loss and relies on hearing aids to function in society. She has faced numerous challenges, including rejection from her community and workplaces. Her hearing is also affected by weather changes, adding to the difficulty.
Julia Mulaudzi, wife of Kenneth Mulaudzi, is a board member of the organization. After the traumatic incident, she adjusted her life to support her husband. With a business administration qualification, she contributes effectively as a board member. Having been impacted by living with disability, she actively advocates for the loved ones who are also indirectly affected.
Asa Gordon joined One Shoe SA after her husband, an amputee, received a shoe donation. She volunteered to manage operations in Cape Town and now oversees all services in the area. Her life changed on June 21, 2018, when her husband, of 27 years, was ambushed on the road. He lost control of his vehicle, hitting two cars and a concrete barrier. His vehicle was riddled with 18 bullet holes from front to back.
Nyeleti Shibambo, a social worker for a charity organization, joined One Shoe SA due to her passion for working with communities, particularly in informal settlements and townships. Her role includes offering counseling, family interventions, and referrals. She volunteers with One Shoe SA, believing in its potential to grow beyond South Africa. Inspired by Kenneth Mulaudzi's dedication to PWDs, she has had a fulfilling journey with the organization and hopes to contribute further to its growth.
